Marine Corps Forces..

Here in the U.S the Marine Corps forces take the role that the Army would in some other countries. As A Department of the Navy here in the U.S it works close to the Navy. But its own seperate service, Having its own Airforce, Land Units and such. The Marine Corps here has the 4th largest airforce in the world.

But whats it like around the world? Why do they call the Marine Corps forces in the U.K Commando forces? I know that the U.K is alot smaller then the U.S Marine Corps. But what is their role?

I went to bootcamp in Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego California. Bootcamp is the longest out of all the Armed Force’s at 13 weeks. I was Surprised to find out that most of bootcamp is MCMAP (Marine Corps Martial Arts Program) Close Combat and fighting hand to hand. Does other Marine Corps around the world have these programs?

I would just like to hear about it around the world. There is about 180,000, In the U.S Marine Corps Today. And One day due to my opinion.. The Un-Professional service they like to call the U.S Army will be phased out. They are slobs and dont know how to wear the Uniform. Hehehe. Im JK, errr No Im NOT!!
