Photos have appeared online which seem to show substantial remains of a Martin Baltimore, a type considered extinct, though other wrecks were known, in much worse condtion than this. The unknown wreck was recently discovered off the NW coast of Potamos in Anikythera
The story of this WWII Martin Baltimore along with another surprise discovery from WWII will soon be out in the InDEPTH Magazine.

An amazing find. Do we have any clues to its identity? I am particularly interested in the Baltimore as I have long been in contact with former Baltimore pilot in the North African theatre,Tony Tubbenhauer, who recently died in his home in Australia aged 102.

On which subject, has anything more ever happened with the Maryland survivor?

What an amazing relatively intact discovery of another obscure forgotten type.
I wonder if someone stateside could persuade Lockheed Martin to dig deep and help fund or part fund a recovery?!
