This time not a direct translation, as the article had too much repetitive junk. Thus I narrowed it down to half the text, and added some information of my own.

Martinair will have to reorganise soon. That is the opinion of Martinair’s shareholders, KLM and Maersk (both 50% each), the board of directors and the supervisory board.
The preferred option is for Martinair to be merged completely into KLM. The European fligths would be scrapped* Martinair can no longer compete in this increasingly competitive market. After the summer season the European flights will be history. The A320s will be retired.
Not only the short haul flights are history. A lot of secondary companies will be sold of as well. As an example was mentioned the flight school.**
It has been known for a long time that Maersk wants to get rid of their share in Martinair. Maersk got it as part of the P&O Nedlloyd take-over, and has tried to sell their share from day one. KLM is very anxious to get their hands on it, but has thus far always been blocked by Dutch and European anti-trust legislation.
* Maybe a good option for Transavia? Also 100% owned by KLM.
** While the flight school is a nice sideshow, the really interesting part is the Fokker maintenance company. Make no mistake about it, all KLM Cityhopper planes are actually maintained by Martinair! This could be a very valuable addition to KLM, but also to many other parties.
