Currently working on the Martinet instrument panel and I am looking for any details on the panel fire extinguisher socket. The extinguisher bottle was housed in the TTO position with a hose connecting this to the panel and onward to the engine compartment, it appears to have a bayonet type fitting for ease of attachment.
If anyone has any information on this fitting I would be most grateful. The attached photos detail the item with the first showing the rear of the fitting – grey item at the back
Kind regards,
Tim

Smirky,
Thank you for the heads up that certainly appears to be the modern equivalent and gives an understanding on the system. Anon (Mike) the bayonet fitting is approx 35mm diameter if that helps?
Thanks both for your responses.
Kind regards,
Tim

Hard to see how big it is but it looks like an aluminium version of an old style oxy hose bayonet.

These remind me of the ones used on ship panels – made by Chubb so may well be similar.
