Mascots and Charms – Stories

Ive attached an image of some artifacts belonging to a veteran I interviewed – Bill Burke, a Lancaster / Mossie Navigator. Have any other members of the forum come across mascots or good luck charms or even rituals that were common place in B Command. The back wheel story seems to be fairly commonplace as well as stockings, scarves etc as charms but this character ( bottom left ) seemed pretty interesting to me. Any stories to be shared?
