A couple of hours ago 2 fire engines came past at very high speed.
My missus said she saw some smoke while walking the dogs but pointed in the wrong direction, however you could see the smoke from my front window.
So, I took a wander up the road and there is a massive fire, centered on the old Mushroom Farm, which is outside the perimeter, but in buildings that were once related to the base.
I think that the whole of the local fire brigade is on the scene, they still keep arriving.
Apparently they store pallets and vehicles up there, but there is also an RSPCA rescue centre next door, I’ve seen ambulances screaming past so I’m not sure whats happenning, presumably it will be on the local news tonight.
I took some really cool pictures but for some reason they won’t download, having been up there pretty soon after the start of the fire, I was hoping to toute them around the local papers, it was quite a sight, but Truman bad luck has prevailed as usual.
Oh, a bright red a/c sounding and looking very much like a Harvard has just flown past heading south.

Sounds like you took some really hot pictures  Seriously though – hope no-one nor animals are hurt.
