Maverick/Apache combination

I remember seeing a photo once (in a defense publication) of an AH-64 Apache with four AGM-65 Mavericks hanging on the sponsons. Probably more a publicity/promo shot than anything else, but would it be of any advantage at all for an Apache to carry Mavericks in place of Hellfires? Since one Maverick weighs almost as much as four Hellfires, you would actually be losing a lot of firepower, it would seem. Oh well, it looked intriguing anyway.
