can you guy answer some of my little question
+what is the different between zoom climb and sustain climb:confused:
what is the factor limit the max operate altitude of missile , plane:confused: is that the lack of air ,
+what can fly higher turbojet , turbofan , ramjet or scramjet , :dev2:
+is that true that fighter having bigger wing can fly at higher altitude
+JASSM is not a sea-skimming missile nor flying low so it will fly at what altitude ( can it fly at 70,000+ fts like the U-2 or just hundred meters above the ground like attack helicopter
+rocket engine is not depend on the amount of air so they can fly much higher than turbojet , turbofan , ramjet or scramjet 😉 is that true ,
+missile using solid rocket like AGM-119 , Exocet or AGM-65 if fired straight up to the sky will just fly up untill they are out of fuel or have some limit altitude because of their slow speed

Only in sustained climb,
it is possible to convert energy, i.e trade speed for altitude.

In a zoom climb, you first increase speed in level flight, and then use the momentum for a peak of very high alt.
In sustained climb, you continuously keep climbing. The limit of a missile alt is how much the fuel could push it upward before empty.
Scramjet is ideally suited for high alt. unlike the others.
JASSM will invariably fly at low alt.
Yes, a rocket can fly higher than them all, assuming it has enough fuel to get there in the first instance.
Those missiles will run out of fuel
but a rocket or fighter to be able to fly up they must have the thrust/ weight > 1 is that right:rolleyes:
