Not seen this rebuild before – resurrecting an extinct 109 sub-type I think

Got to say, there’s some extraordinary attention to detail in that project. 😎

Hello,
Gregor is doing a great job for a static K4, but really nothing is airworthy!
There is almost nothing of the crashed 334253 used for the rebuilt, the wreck
was too badly damaged, totally frazzled 🙁
But one day, there will be a K4 back in the sky again… :diablo:

Interesting indeed!!

If he had it would have been crashed parts, no K’s exist

This is What Gregor says about the machine:
Our parts are airworthy at the actual situation, but the projects aim is to achieve a Bf109 k4 for taxiing only, cause of it is very rare at the end.
Couple more years and it will be complete!
didn’t Doug Arnold used to have a Me 109K at Blackbushe?

Perhaps the 109 will be non-airworthy running condition? Engine able to run and all equipment installed.

You’re probably right, Newforest, but I’m hoping he means functional air display condition!

Restoring to a ‘functional display condition’ would suggest a static display?

The quality and depth of work Gregor has put into his machine is astounding, a difficult project to be sure!

Airworthy or static?
