Can anyone help identify this piece of Me 109. For some reason I feel it maybe cockpit related, but this is purely a guess on my part and I’m probably completely wrong! (I usually am!)
I did post this request recently on another posting on this site, but the author seemed to take Umbrage with me for doing so. So, I am now trying again.
Anyway, any help would be greatly received.

Thanks so much Pim205GTI, for the positive ID. I always felt it was cockpit related, but never been able to confirm it. It’s been in my possession for many years and I’ve always wondered what it might be, well now I know!

not sure why but it may be part of the leading edge slat
