Me109E crash Landing Mystery

Hi,

A friend of mine was told a story some years ago that an Me109E crashed near a place called Hartford Bridge Flats (Maybe in the area of Lightwater or Yateley Heath) during 1940. It is believed that it crash landed after being shot down?

I have spoken to an old friend of mine who was a very early researcher, now 87 and he thinks it could have been one flown by the RAE at Farnborough and if so the crash would have been hushed up.

Would anyone know of this?
