Meat contaminated with TB in the food chain?

We refuse to inoculate Cows from TB to keep our supply pure. We cull Cows if they contract TB and Badgers to stop them spreading TB,
however if we find meat with TB we throw it into the food chain because it’s not a risk to health.
So, why bother?

Nice to see those that are less able to fight off disease are looked after – not.

“Could it be in my burgers?

The meat in question is banned by most supermarkets, but it is sold by some caterers and food processors. This means, potentially, some schools, hospitals and care homes in the UK may serve it up. There is no requirement to label meat to say that it has come from a TB-infected animal.”

I suppose it goes down the road of the very low odds of it happening.
