Meeting of AirUK!

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a long time for me on Keypub, but I’m back with something a little different, and also different from the usual Norwich Posts. 😀

So i went up to Norwich Air Museum to see the AirUK Fokker F-27 (Mike Yankee) and also a family friend came along who is Ex-AirUK F-27 Pilot. So here are a few pics.

Enjoy! 😉 😀

Great pics bringing on an attack of nostalgia for me. I worked alongside Air UK as a Traffic Officer for around 10yrs at STN, mainly F27s, SD330s/360s and for a short while an F28. Great crews (and great parties). We had some not always flattering nicknames for the 27s based on the regn. I still have my Cabin bag, Blue Mug and cased Air UK Parker pen, sad or what? I wonder if I knew your friend! :)……must go, they’re calling the UK160 STN to AMS!

Thanks very much Interflug62M, haha, i bet, he did have a nick name for the F27, however what you have isn’t sad really, something that should be kept, because there probably isn’t any around anymore 🙁

Have fun dealing with UK160 :p :p

Rab: Thanks very much! 🙂

Yeah you had to pay (£4.25), but it’s well worth the price as there is alot of stuff to see, apart from the static planes outside!

Personally i would give it 10/10 and a good day out. 😀 😀
