Memorial.

I know this isn’t strictly Airliner World territory but I would like to bring your attention to a thread on flypast “An open invitation….”

Mark (Snapper) has worked incredibly hard to raise a memorial to a fighter pilot from his home county of Norfolk. With little help he now has a memorial prepared, theland on which to site it and has organised an unveiling and dedication for the 14th of July. He has also managed to persuade the RAF to contribute a flypast by Jaguar aircraft of 41 Squadron.

The final day of the Flying Legends air display takes place on the Sunday, the 13th. So if you happen to be going there why not stay an extra day and come to the unveiling. It promises to be an unforgettable event and gives us the chance to pay honour to Sgt Wiseman and perhaps repay a little of the debt we owe. I will be staying in a hotel in Lowestoft on the Sunday night and anyone who wants to come would be welcomed, might even turn into a proper meet.

EGNM.

Thanks for your comments on that thread last night.

I look forward to perhaps meeting some of you there. Thank you for your time.

Regards,
