Whilst walking along the old disused railway line in North Yorkshire– Hawsker to Robin Hoods bay i noticed this memorial to a Clifford Jones 1936 -1992.It looks like a Tiger moth.Just wonder if anyone knows anything about this chap,was he a pilot?

🙂 We normally walk it a couple of times a year and that was the first time i noticed it.If i remember correctly it is Hawsker end of the trail ,not too far from Bottoms lane which leads to a caravan site.I will try and look again later this year.

I walked and cycled that route (used to go Whitby to Ravenscar on my bike for fun!) many times in my youth, but have never noticed that memorial!
