Another ridiculously lenient sentence. 😡
Despite the defendant’s “apology” to the people of Derby, the crime was clearly premeditated.
atr42 – That very question is asked in the Comments section. Why indeed.
See, I hate to say “I told you so”, but he will hardly be able to walk through the gate of the prison, when because of his “Good behaviour” he will hardly serve anything at all.and be walking out again.
I just hope he gets a bloody good going over by the inmates, once inside.
Why wasn’t an order be made as part of his sentance to attend re hab?
I still say the same as Moggy, “Give them 50 lashes of the Birch”
I can see one day, Joe Public taking matters like this into their own hands, and dish out their punishments. it’s absolutely pathetic
What we need is a Charles Bronson.to sort them out.

With all the metal thefts going on I’d like to know why the dealers that buy the stuff aren’t getting prosecuted. They must have suspicions about a fair bit that comes in but still buy it.

critter 592. If it’s one thing that gets me as mad as hell, is when a defendant in ANY case puts forwards a plea, and then his Brief stands up, and states his client has mittigating circumstances inasmuch as he was drunk at the time. NO ONE puts a gun to their head and forces it down their throates, and if I were the Magistrate I would double the sentance, dished out despite the max and min punishments as laid down by Law.
Have a drink by all means and get happy. I attended more domestic disputes in my 30 yrs caused by booze than any other thing. They moan about smokers, but don’t give a S*** about the alcos

Hi Critter592, Would you be good enough to keep us in the picture regarding the pending Court Case, I can’t wait to see what excuse the P.C. Brigade puts forward as a defence for them.

As These pair of idiots, “Didn’t intend to deprive the owner permenantly thereof” of these plaques, I doubt if they will get charged with theft,(I read they have been) but they may plead guilty to a lesser charge of criminal damage, whichever way you look at it, it’s dispicable, they ought to be given 100 hrs Community Service cleaning headstones up in the local churchyard, particularly those who gave their lives so pratts like this pair could roam at will causing damage.
