Thanks like I say we normally get Chinooks, but I guess they are busy at the moment.

Impressive – I’m just off the M3 on the Odiham flightpath and we get the occasional very low Chinook, but never a Merlin that low.

Chinook or Apache would be a dream come true.:)

You’ll like it!!!! Not as cool as a Chinook, or exciting as an Apache, but fun nonethe less!

I get to see most of the Eurocopter civil range over here as they bought out McAlpine helicopters which made sense to Eurocopter I suppose when you consider that the majority of their civil machines were fitted out and air tested by McAlpine’s. Hence the reason I see so many of them (most of them are done at Kidlington).
I get the SAS one!:diablo:

🙂 I sometimes also get to see the AS365 N3 Dauphin.

I’d love to have them that low over here but I guess it is not going to happen as my house is very close to the circuit of a relatively busy airfield. Can’t afford the risk of the fledgling airline pilots getting too close to expensive military hardware so the Military make it easy for the cigar tube cadets to keep out of the way by not flying close to us.
