Merlin Engines

Looking at the wonderful sight of the New Zealand Mosquito running it’s engines up, made me wonder.

Where do the engines keep coming from, for all of the various aircraft restorations ?

Like the aircraft they are fitted in, can a Merlin be manufactured from scratch ?
