Merlin Flying Club June 2013

I went on sat as well and to me it was the best attended event there for years.I spent most of the day at the runway in use end of the site and got cracking landing and take off movie shots.It was a great afternoon with warbirds,classic vintage aircraft and for me the ground running rolls-royce merlin 113 from the RRHT was simply fantastic,a former mosquito engine i believe.I do hope its on again next year.For just 0„55 its a cracking way to spend a sat afternoon.Many thanks to the organisers for giving me an excuse not to go shopping!! Thanks for the review ‘minisandford’, it certainly was a great day for our historic airfield at Hucknall, with many vintage and classic types in attendance! I am pleased you enjoyed the day and the ‘feedback’ is really appreciated.

No problem, just trying to assist and I’ll try and get a message through to them trumper – I’ve been liaising with one of their organisers over some reciprocal publicity; NAM displaying posters for this weekend’s event and the Merlin Flying Club helping to promote this event locally! 🙂

Sadly I won’t be able to visit the Pageant this weekend as I’m down your neck of the woods visiting my son who’s just taken his finals!!

I wondered if you realise that you can’t see where it is [the location of the display] on the website .Even the map of how to get there doesn’t giv eany real clues-road numbers yes but not where in the country.Maybe i am missing something but at first look it isn’t easy to see.
