Found this part in a scrapyard today, only had time to snap pix, late merlin/ griffon? possibly RCAF Northstar engine piece? any ideas? thanks.

What were the 60 and 70 series fitted to? WEE flight had some interesting aircraft on charge, Lincoln, sea fire etc..
Back to school Peter, as a close relative of the Lancaster, you should know that Lincolns had Merlins!!
Ok, Griffons with that carb were fitted to Spitfire, Spiteful, Seafire and Firefly

It certainly shares a similarity with the triple-choke units on the Griffon 60 series.

That`s right, it is a Rolls-Royce / Bendix stromberg carburettor from a 60 / 70 or 80 series Griffon.
Were these used in Canada?
