Merlin parts?

Hi everyone,

While carrying out the AGS sorting exercise in the garage, I came across these items.

I’m sure someone told me years ago that the rods were from some variant of the Merlin but I’ve forgotten the details. Can anyone confirm this for me, please?

Also, not much to go on here I realise, but years ago, a surplus place I used to visit had box upon box of these washers. They are approx. 2BA sized. I’m sure the box contained a 36DD/ part number for the washers but it’s disappeared. Can anyone reecognise these? The box is very heavy, and I would guess that it contains many thousands of washers. Have I got enough washers for X,000 Merlins or just the one?

As usual, thanks in advance for any info!

Thanks Mike.

For info, they aren’t spring washers. Some of them have that look but it’s just the preservative “gunk” on them.

The Merlin bolts are for the big ends of the fork & blade conrods.

The spring washers are just that. One for the Merlin restorer who wants to get everything exactly right. Don’t think they are worth a great deal but Merlin Pete will know.
