A Happy New Year.
As 2011 comes to close I wanted to take a moment to thank all those that support the efforts of Museums and Heritage where ever you may be.
It takes a lot of moral support, volunteer effort and financial inventiveness to keep museums everywhere running and keeping a Place for the Past, Home for the Present and holding open the door to the Future.
Without the encouragement and support of enthusiasts everywhere it would not be possible.
I especially want to thank all those that have supported the efforts of our museum, The Alberta Aviation Museum, as we strive to meet the needs of our community and preserve our heritage.
Without going into detail it has not been an easy year and the folks here on the forum have at times provided the encouragement and energy needed to keep us pushing forward.
Thank you
and regardless of how you do or don’t express your faith and whether or not you believe in Santa Claus (I do…best darn pilot I never met!).
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours

Merry Christmas everyone 🙂
Highs and lows throughout the year, my highlights were the 2 x Spitfire MK1s and the airworthy IL-2.
I can’t be the only one checking out the forum on Christmas eve – it’s part of me!

I have just had word that Capt Christmas has finished his pre-flight checks, and is fine tuning the weight & balance calcs ( it’s a bit tricky stashing 975,000 tons of presents !)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all on the forum.
We have had some pretty bad moments in 2011 but some very good and positive things have happened as well. Let’s hope the positives continue in 2012.
