Whilst browsing the Replica Fighter Association message boards, I came across a URL to a German website which appears to be manufacturing replica Me109 ultralights!
Check them out here: http://www.meck-ul.de/
They look pretty nice – would probably go nicely with my Spitfire replica when (if!) that gets going! 😀

That would be the one with the inward-retracting undercarriage, yeah? Kinda like this one…?

Having a look, and I can’t find anything! 🙁
Plenty on the Storch, though!

Nestor Slepcev
Daz,
Do a Search on Nestor Slepcev (and all possible variable spellings) and his 109 replica that he built in Australia about ten years ago. He used a horizontal tailplane from a larger aircraft, and produced a wing out of it for his Me109. It looked very fast. He also went on to design a scale (80%ish) replica of the Storch, the kit of which is still available.

And get one of the Spitfire Mk26s to chase it around the sky! 😉

That mini Me-109 is an awfully good replica. Especially considering the original size Me-109 didnt have any room in the cockpit for a pilot. If they were to lengthen the nose out a bit, it would really look like the real thing. They wouldnt have to move the engine forward, just lenghen the nose and then use the oil cooler scoop undernieth as a cooling intake instead of the intake under the prop spinner they have now.

Would make a pretty good Stuka lookalike with that fixed undercarriage! 😀

What is that, a Nord 3202? Why on Earth did that merit a Luftwaffe paint scheme??

Apologies for posting this photo again……and yes, I know it’s not a replica …..only a “pretender”…..
