What ever happend to BF109 white 14? the proper one (not a converted buchon) that was over here? Would have thought we would have seen it at the shows this year?

Black 6 is still the only genuine ‘109 to have flown in this country.

There have been quite a few others some years ago. They mostly didn’t land though.

It’s now owned by a third party and is to be operated by BHHH.

She’s certainly in good hands!!

Thank you for that ,it is nice to know.:) Hope it won’t be too long before it is airworthy again :).

Is Ed Russells 109 e still over here?

I was fortunate enough to see her on a hangar tour in early December when I starting to speaking to an engineer called ‘Craig’. I asked ‘are you Craig Charleston’ to which he was really surprised I knew who he was!! An absolutely lovely guy who is the master of restoration on Me109s. She’s certainly in good hands!!

Genuine Bf109s never seem to stay here, at least not since Black 6…

I’m not sure it’s staying here. I’m sure someone with more info will be along shortly though!

I didnt know it had its engine out! I saw it in a few pics and a video at the beginning of the year so assumed everything was okay! Sorry if some people thought this was a stupid question

It’s not a stupid question at all,,several people on here will have learnt something.Maybe someone will be able to give updates on the engine and prop.

I read elsewhere that the engine and prop were out for servicing.

I suppose they could have carted it around on a trailer. Other than that, it was never going to go very far until it got its engine back!
