“Aircraft is definitely there and looks intact, although partially buried in the sand.”
But just which Bf-110, and exactly where, and when were those pics taken, and were they taken from a documentary or video made by someone else to add credibility to the scam?

I thought this would come ‘on forum’ this chap emailled a friend, very high up in Archaeology circles a week or so back and he forwarded it to me – out of curiosity I emailled him for pics and he did not reply – then I received another round robin email from him under my Museum capacity….
er…A new addition to the Chinese Stirling hangar I think…

Andy
Must be random then, we got pics with the email (stills from a video by the look of it). Aircraft is definitely there and looks intact, although partially buried in the sand. I await mid 2007 with interest 😉

Black Sea 110
True enough, the email and pics have been doing the rounds, arriving at the CW office a few days ago. Looks like they are scouting for the $.
Dave
I too have had more than a few e mails from a Russian gent based in Germany who is saying a 110 has been found in the Black Sea asking me to make an offer! Not only does he seem unable to grasp the state of my bank balance but he seems unable to grasp that there is nobody who will make an offer on just a vague statement that they will be recovering it and my requests for images or even more information just meet with “later” although he seems to want $ now! I hope its there and it all happens but why do I start to think this is an adaptation of the infamous scam e-mails that come out of Africa suggesting that if you deposit a small fortune with them you will come into an even larger fortune??? Hmmmmm…..will be interesting to see what happens.

The website the person mentions at the bottom makes no mention of anything historic.

Sorry, they are not mine to share.

I heard a few years back that a complete ditched Whitley had been found off of the Dutch coast, location known and marked and such but it was shifted/covered during a storm and lost…

Cees,
You mention a Whitley. I know we havnt got a Whitley bomber at the minute. But does anybody know of any substantial remains of the type. I know we have biggish sections here and there around the UK but I mean a pretty complete aircraft possibly lying under water. Could you imagine that.
We could let the RAF museum raise it and then put it on display next to the Halifax in an equally unrestored state:diablo:

Ok it also says: if you are interested make offer.
To pay for a recovery?
More info would be nice. Exciting find.
And what about the Whitely?

Would be nice if it was true – there’s only a couple of Bf110s on display anywhere in the world! 🙁
