A guy I used to work with told me once that there was a Messerschmitt stored in a barn/hangar around Swindon. He knows this as he is from the area.
Any truth in this?

The Emil restoration is currently subject to a multi part article in Flugzeug Classic. Fantastic what they are doing.
Can you get Flugzeug Classic in the U.K. ?, if so do you know where. Thanks

Restoration or recreation? From the photos it looks like an intriguing artefact so would be a crime to lose it for the sake of another repro.

I think it was Robs dream to get this one restored but I cannot see him ever being able to fly it now he must be getting on a bit, he did offer me a flight in Miss helen back in the 80s but unfortunately had to decline ! seems a silly thing to have done now.
Don’t feel too bad about it. I was offered a trip to Duxford from North Weald in 1988 and turned it down too. Lindsey Walton took my place. But then a few years later had flights in G-SUSY and N51RR.

Yes, the very one.
It was stored at Swindon (from where I collected it) and then displayed at Tangmere, and I was then involved in its delivery back to Swindon from Tangmere before it eventually went to Meirmotors direct, I believe?

Yes. Rob’s Lamplough’s Me 109
Not what I was expecting!
I had thought he’d meant a Buchon or a Nord/’108 type. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, obviously!
