Does anyone have any additional details on the above crash, in particular the crash location. All I have so far is:
245 Squadron
Meteor III EE293
RAF Colerne
F/O. Desmond William Machray Crawshaw
The pilot was making a single engined landing crosswind but he allowed the aircraft to stall and it spun into the ground.

To say he let the aircraft stall and spin into the ground is a bit harsh really. A single engined approach is a hard thing to master. Many an experianced pilot has been lost this way. So many factors to try and overcome.
That was how the accident was described in Colin Cummings book ‘final landings’.
You don’t have to tell me about the ‘many factors to try and overcome’ I’ve flown over 600 hours including multi engine time…
