Hi all,
She’s finally come home! Meteor NF11 G-LOSM arrived at CVT at 15:00hrs today. Pilot was Paul Morris.

Stuff like this, a group of friends meeting up for lunch, no barriers, no step ladders and no windbreaks, plus free access to wander around the aircraft as much as you like.

Ah fantastic, worth the wait 😀
The meteor is such a great looking aircraft. I don’t think we’ll ever see these two toghether again but I look forward to the Meteor Flight T7 joining the ranks, just wish it would be quicker. Patience is a virtue I’m told though!

And three:
I DO like the way the forum sofware stops you posting in less than 30 sec intervals, then kicks you out for waiting too long. IT ‘technology’ superb.

OK, after much digging, here’s the pics.
You may also notice an obstruction called ‘Winston’, now in Aus.

Back to Meat Box flavour 11s. Let’s see it soon. (Must dig out my pics of it at Bagington with the F8 ‘Winston’ a couple of years ago.
Cheers

I managed to sneak some spare time to have a look around the museum at Baginton yesterday, taking advantage of the perfect un Coventry like weather:D I got talking to a bloke making a nice job of repainting their own NF11 in its original Duxford night fighter markings, he then mentioned that the airworthy example was due in some time in the afternoon. I managed to end my visit at just the right time, and drove around to the end of the runway, just in time to see the Meteor make a low pass and then land (nice and low over the fence:) ).
It was one of those perfect spring days that remind you that the airshow season is not far away:cool: 😎
PS. I am obviously massively in debt to the guy sitting in the NF11 who gave me the vital insider knowledge;)

My guess would be that CVT is Coventry. There is life outside Duxford 😉

Excuse the ignorence of someone who hasn’t got a clue, but I don’t have a clue…
Is CVT a new restorers or something? Are they based at Duxford?
