Meteor Replica cockpit/forward fuselage???

Had this idea for many years, just never really had the time or plans to know were to start.
But after seeing the Very realistic looking Whirlwind replica, and reading all about how Ray went about building it. its got me thinking again on how i would love to do somthing simlier.:eagerness:

got me thinking that something similar could be replicated out of wood?
now were do i start???! can’t seem to find any good detailed “cut away” drawings of the structure lay out of the nose to know were to start.

thoughts and any help with some plans for the structure would be appreciated;)

thanks for the replies and a message has been sent dave;)
was thinking of F3 as not many left,so would be nice to replica one of these..
just woundering if maybe a Meat box might be bit hard to replicate out of wood?
want to try and replicate much as i can, rather than using genuine parts. keep cost down, and like Roy’s whirlwind. keep it in the spirit of the home build!

Hello there, Buzzer,

Have you any thoughts on which mark/type of Meteor you might wish to replicate?

It would be wise to be able to incorporate as many genuine parts as possible and to this end the Mk.F.8 (day fighter) or T.Mk.7 (trainer) versions would be sensible as there are parts of these available.

Anon.
