This thread has been long dead, but I would like to get information on the Mexican Azteca class patrol boats, there are a few images on the net, but not much, I could use a really good walk round if anyone has one.
regards
Mike.

Is that a MD-900 helicopter on the back of the two Sierra class ships in post #12 or are they BO-105s? I think they are the MD-900s but the pics are too small for me to tell. How are the MD-900 performing in Mexican service ? I think the MD-900 is a great helicopter and wish it would get more export orders from more countries.

See what I mean people, Mexico has a really proud navy and most of the good stuff has been built on their own shores! The Old Gearings and the old DD are due for replacement and the AdM is looking around for something (they are currently talking with B+V about a MEKO design though I don’t know how they will go because they want to built it in their docks and not have B+V built it for them).
IIRC AdM was also the first Navy to employ the NOTAR Helos in service anywhere in the world. Shows that they are thinking ahead!
Well done Rafael Patron, great pics.
