Mi-28 Havoc

Since the Russian military placed an order with the Ka-50, as opposed to the Mi-28 there have been conflicting reports as to whether the Mi-28 program will be abandoned. The ideal situation would be to use the Havoc as a night attack platform, and use the Hokum as a VFR attack platform. Given the disastrous state the military budget is in, this seems highly unlikely. Marketing the Mi-28 overseas as a replacement to the Mi-24 seems good on paper, but the Mi-28 has not been proved in battle. With several countries offering excellent Hind upgrades (the latest being BAe), the Havoc might be relegated to a paper helicopter.
