Russia’s Air Force: Seven New Mi-28N Helicopters to Reach Inventory
Seven new Mi-28N “Night Hunters” will reach Russia’s air force inventory before the end of 2006. For the time being, they will be at the air force’s center for military aviation flight crew cross-training and training center in Torzhok, air force commander-in-chief, Vladimir Mikhaylov, reported. He added that in 2007, Russia’s air force will purchase 12 more helicopters of this type. There will be two regiments of these combat aircraft in the air force before 2010. The air force CinC also reported that by 2015, these helicopters will replace the Mi-24 fire support helicopters fully.
