Catchy Title there ? But these are of the aviation type ! Mods I hope this is ok here ?
At the very end of my recent trip to Miami, St Maarten, Puerto Rico, etc. I, with all of my fellow travellers, were invited to view the production facilities of “The Airplane Shop” Miami FLA, both the retail shop and their manufacturing plant ! They make very good quality models for a lot of clients worldwide, some are ‘one offs’ others are to order only ! below are some of my snatched photos from their small but crowded production plant … hope they are of interest ??

cloud 9. thanks for that nice comment, I enjoy sharing my photos with such nice people ! I am not knowledgeable about Miami, but have scanned their business card (hope thats ok) for you !
As you may or may not know I was lucky enough to do this trip on the Historical Flight Foundations DC7B, and Roger Jarman is secretary of that foundation, also, with his very energetic and knowledgeable, wife runs the Airplane Shop ! which is the link between the two events !
The shop is not far from Opa Locka, I notice they share the same ZIP code !
Hope this helps a little 😉

Do you mind telling me where exactly in Miami this place is, I happen to be visiting in October and may look to pay a visit myself if I can (need to convince the girlfriend first though…lol!).:D

Very nice Keith. I’ve been collecting this type of model for some 35 years. It must have been very interesting to see these being made. Thanks for posting.

Reminds me of fish in a fish factory. Looks a trifle disorganized, are they short of space? Very interesting report. 🙂

I have a cargo 737-300 from them. It’s huge and heavy.
The finer details are lacking, so don’t expect a photo realistic look. But it is impressive on the coffee table or mantlepiece all the same.
Sorry, gotta say it, that BA 757 has the wrong door configuration. Yes, I’m a geek. Live with it!
