Long shot – In discussion with a friend and he described working with a chap called ‘Mick Chappel’, who at the time was a Marine Engineer at Tilbury, but who had apparently flown Hurricanes in 1940. I cannot match the name with anyone on BofB lists, unless ‘Mick’ was a nickname. Does the name ring a bell with anyone? Appreciate any info – thanks.
