Microlight Morane-Saulnier MS.317 lookalike

I photographed this banner-towing monster in Jesenwang (EDMJ) near Munich/Germany this evening. I think it is a German Weller Sprint microlight, but look at the engine and the propeller! A 7-cylinder radial engine and a huge wooden propeller! Gorgeous sound! It didn’t snatch the banner from the ground, but took off with it already attached! Can anyone identify the engine? It had an electric starter.

Forget the banner-towing. I want one now!

Propstrike – this could even be more desirable than a Cub!

But then again……..

Self explanetary then it (means “banner towing machine” in English)

Just answered my question myself: It’s a 2.8l Australian Rotec engine; see: http://www.weller-flugzeugbau.de/html/rotec-sprint.html
