Middle Wallop 1940

Hi all

Trying to trace any items out there in collections relating to Middle Wallop during 1940. Log Books, Flying clothing, Aircraft parts, Medals, Photo’s in fact anything at all related to this airfield.

If you go to where I fly, at Dunkeswell which is near Middle Wallop then go into their memorial museum. NO GUARANTEES! they might have something to do with Middle Wallop in there, but you have to pay to get in it, and it sucks!

my grand dad was there with the fleet air arm in 1945, and he talked about them burying loads of brand new stuff in the ground. i don’t remember him saying anything else about it though.
