I wonder if the manufacturer had them available, that combined with the chance of getting a good production order for it made it a worthwhile loan?

I’ve seen a picture of XM797 in service with a three bladed prop.
Coincidently the only three bladed Army Beaver (Leonides powered of course) was next to it in the picture.

It seems some civil Prospectors had threa bladed props as well
