MIG 19 at Charlgrove ,Oxfordshire

Hi Forumites,

I was a little worried when i read in the New wrecks a Relics book ,
regarding the cockpit of Martin Bakers test Cockpit, Ex Pakistan Mig 19 (Farmer) , it says in the Book that it now resides the airfield Dump,
I really hope this cockpit is saved whatever its condition as it is as far as i am aware ,the ONLY Mig 19 in the UK.

It was the word “DUMP” which worried me,
does ayone know anymore about this relic ??, I tried to secure it a few years ago ,but I was turned down,
Surely its not going to end up in the smelter ??,
If anyone has any pictures of it i would really apreciate a look see,
as far as i am aware the Mig 19 is quite a rare cold war relic, a bit of a “In Between” from the 17 and 21 ,
any more Info would be greatly appreciated !!!!
