Are there any readers out there that can list all the MIG-21’s that have come onto our shores those that have come to North Weald & Duxford.
I can list
501- -Ex Farnborough-St Athan -On Display at IWM Duxford (Ex Hungarian A.F)
503-G-BRAM-Ex North Weald-On Display at RAF Museum Cosford (Ex Hungarian A.F)
959- -Ex OFMC Duxford-On Display at Midland Museum Coventry (Ex East German A.F)
What has happened to the former Slovak A.F example that was donated ??
Any readers help ???

The ex-Slovak MiG-21 seems to have vanished. It was stored in a HAS at Boscombe Down, but doesn’t seem to have moved to Old Sarum with the rest of the collection from there.
The ex Slovak one, 7708 if that is one being referred to, went to the USA. If I have it correctly , it was registered N7708 and is a flyer with the South Florida Defence Antiquities Museum.

~Alan~ the Wrecks & Relics entry reads as follows:
“Thetford … A private collection of cockpits is located in this general area.”
Also listed for this location are Hunter, Lightning and Sea Vixen cockpits.
I’m sure that the NAM Shop still has copies of edition 24 available if you’re interested! 🙂

In addition to the airframes that you listed, Wrecks & Relics 24 (latest edition) notes MiG-21 cockpits at East Tilbury and Thetford.
I assume you mean Flixton ?

There was a MiG 21 cockpit in Northampton – owned by an American chap, I met him but never saw the cockpit – it was listed in W&R a few years ago but I think its moved on somewhere…. maybe one of the ones HH refers to
