Wow, what a display. I am sure someone else who was there today will be able to comment on the technicalities of the display better than me so I will leave it to them, but I have never seen a military jet aircraft manoeuver like that 😮 My brother who has been to many airshows and spends 3/4 of his life around airfields stood there with his jaw dropped :diablo:
I know it has thrust vectoring but I can’t see how the engines don’t flame out when they spend so much time with apparently NO air going through the intakes :confused:
The F-18F tried but was really not quite in the same league, and the comparatively conservatively flown F-15 and Eurofighter were nearly a sideshow for what was clearly the main event. Of course we don’t know how far the various pilots were allowed to go by their bosses :rolleyes:
Anyone going to RIAT Sunday or to Farnborough is in for a treat from the Mig Factory demonstrator. They sure know how to try and sell a plane.
