In the Vzlet magazine 1-2/2011 at page 59 there’s something about this contract , aparently for 24 M/M2 signed in 2007. I don’t speak russian but from the little i can make out, are the first of them suposed to fly this year? I’ve downloaded this issue from a russian site ( think it’s called kniga.info) which i’m sure is legit as the issue is 3 months old.
I’ve made a screenshot of the page, can our russian friends please help with translation, if possible ? Would be great to see what else Mr. Fomin says about these syrian MiGs. Thanks alot.
Another issue is , given the current talk about an embargo against Syria (:mad:), how is this going to affect the contract ? Perhaps the birds, if constructed , would go to RuAF like the algerian SMTs?
