Watching the very good Simon Reeve programme on Greece yesterday evening a particular segment brought forth the following musing.
Firstly a short summary of the segment:
Mr Reeve offered assistance in the form of a lift to two females and a baby who were in some distress at the side of a the road on a Greek island.
Upon catching up with the males associated with the females, who were presumably some distance in advance of said females, the males forced the females and baby out of the car.
The reason given in the programme was due to the females not having asked permission of the males to accept the assistance.
Now my musing:
The behaviour of the males in this group, both in forcing the females to decline further assistance and in allowing the females to become detached and trail in some distress behind the main group, is not behaviour that I believe would be considered a cultural norm in the majority of European society.
The values Europe has championed are a major contributory factor to the prosperity that has arisen across this area. That prosperity is one of the reasons the migrants seek to enter Europe.
If the males do not wish to adhere to the cultural norms / values prevalent in the nations that they aspire to gain refuge in perhaps the nations should consider whether they wish to accommodate those males?
As an alternative could these folk, once having been afforded a degree of comfort and sustenance, be invited to depart to a country that follows customs more in keeping with their values?
I’m not suggesting that migrants be returned to Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan, however there are other countries where the beliefs and practices exposed by those males are more widely accepted.
In my view allowing such values as exhibited by those males in the programme into Europe will result in a poorer Europe for all.
Discuss?

The CNN link is quite clear that the molester has not handed himself in.
“A 17-year-old boy recognized himself in the shot behind Labye and turned himself in to police in the company of his mother, Cologne police said, but he said he had not harassed the reporter. After reviewing the footage, police decided it corroborated his claim and let him go.”
Forgive me if I find it hard to agree with your justification(s) for your stance when simple pieces of information such as that pass you by.

 Its a report by Stacey Dooley!
The camera never lies, it can’t but do anything thing else but show the viewer what’s taking place in front of its lens, be it a Wedding, Horse Race or Volcanic Eruption.
Without todays smartphones, everything that happens today can be captured for all to see, hence the use of YouTube where people can upload whatever as a conveyor for everything good and bad in the World for all to see.
Before that technology existed, people would have to rely on verbal/written accounts of things that were happening, that can and were tainted by the individual, the internet has opened the box to see both the good and the bad of the World today, I don’t understand why you seem to mistrust this form of media.
I read your post about the Simon Reeve programme on Greece, I watched it to, I also read your musings, and see you’ve put down exactly the same reasons I hold about the influx of migrants into Europe and what may happen to our European culture if this mass immigration continues, what sort of world will our descendants inherit…
“In my view allowing such values as exhibited by those males in the programme into Europe will result in a poorer Europe for all.”
The videos I posted show that your thoughts are already coming true, do you not agree with that, if so, why put the above statement in your post, seems like double standards to me.
CNN Link about the boy who groped the reporter, about midway down the page…

YouTube.
Opened the first link briefly and read the title, didn’t bother going any further to watch the video.
It seems to me that such media is simply an easy and lazy way of reinforcing ones prejudices and then trying to cover that as if that is not exactly what has been done.
There are not very good, nice and indeed downright bad people in all countries, in all cultures and of all colours. To make the issue about any of the latter three and not solely about the unacceptable behaviour itself is the wrong approach.
If as you claim the molester has handed himself in, would you be so kind as to provide further information? As you’ve left it the information is either meaningless or intended to allow the impression that a non Caucasian is the perpetrator. I’m sure the likes of you wouldn’t stoop to such.

Hi All,
snafu,
You are of coarse quite correct about taking data to support a position, it appears that now actually having watched the video you are correct about the assault being by white males and not migrant males as was reported in the article. I just assumed that it would show the migrant my apologies for not viewing the video.
As for your question how many took place you will never get a true number for many factors the same would be said of true crime figures wherever but her are three that I think would be good reasons why we will never have true numbers.
1-Not all rapes are reported.
2-If governments want to encourage migrants into whatever country they will not advertise the fact that there are rapes being committed by said migrants o turn the indigenous population against them.
3-It seems that most media sources cannot be trusted as the video I downloaded clearly shows the opposite of what the article I read claimed.
Having said the above it still stands that a high percentage view women as breeding machines and they are the lower human in the family unit just there to tend to the needs of the men. I mean come on be realistic if all these Asylum seekers/Migrants were so honest about the reasons why they come to Britain as an example they would never get in so it obvious they claim whatever.
Another problem is the Migrants/Asylum seekers do not want for the most to integrate into our society they seem to think they can carry on living how they did back in their own country bringing with them all their petty disputes between their different sects that unfortunately spill over into our country. If you I or anybody else went to live in another country it’s safe to assume you would try to integrate into that country and learn what is acceptable and what is not unfortunately the Asylum seekers/Migrants do not for the most.
You only have to look how they live in the camps set up for them back in the Arab country’s they are **** holes and who is to blame for that ? It all comes down to themselves they just do not care about how they live and how they treat women simple. I can sympathise with the exodus of Syria but why are not more Arab country’s taking them in ? it’s not like they couldn’t afford to because the UN would ensure that the billions donated would go towards there upkeep surely.
Yes we have a duty to offer sanctuary but one thing I never here is the utterance of their return when the war has finished. The people of Syria being given the chance to rebuild their own country also given the chance a fresh start. To my mind you offer sanctuary on a temporary basis till it’s safe to go home and I never hear this mentioned at all. These country’s are in all likelihood going to be in name only if everybody navigates towards the Europe and the West simply because of the corrupt systems that are governing their own country.

Geoff, couple of questions.
How many other rapes that did not involve “non Brits” took place last week?
The video seems to show white, European males. How is this “evidence” of the migrants being an issue.
I ask this as it is too easy to take data out of context and also make claims that are not true in order to “support” a position.
For me doing either of those is not in line with the values that I believe contribute massively to the prosperity of Europe and is also ultimately detrimental to the cause of ensuring those values are maintained and defended.
I think you are sailing very close to doing both.

Hi All,
You only have to look at the so called asylum seekers/Migrant camp the Jungle to see how all these people live and their attitudes to women will not change as it was reported in an article in one of the daily rags last week. A group of youths raped a 17yr old girl and were charged one of the group of lads was that arrogant about the charged he actually said that women are below men and have to do what we say! In the same article it was reported a female news reporter was groped live on air. (Video below)
Is it any wonder there is so much animosity between indigenous populations and the Migrants/Asylum seekers whatever they term themselves when they view women as second class only to do a mans beckoning, this also affects the kids they always mange to have enough strength to have in their ever
growing population they only learn their values by watching their parents more often than not most just do not have any.

Fractured = poorer.
Cohesion, currently nascent and somewhat fragile, will be one of the long term strengths of Europe, if allowed to grow and mature.
Cohesion doesn’t mean the same!

Re 1.
My wife and I saw this program and in particular the section you mention. We were not surprised. That was an example of their ‘culture’. Their women were in tears !
“will result in a poorer Europe!. It might result in a poorer Europe but it will also be a deeply fractured Europe, lacking any semblance of the EU’s prized cohesion and unity – for ever.

It serves only to enhance my long held view that the first port of call for these Muslim refugees should be the Middle Eastern Arab/Muslim states which are not involved in the hostilities. How many has Saudi Arabia taken in to date?
