Mike Cookman (Hawker Typhoons)

Can anyone help? during the 1980’s the late mike Cookman advertised regularly for Typhoon parts in flypast. He built up quite a collection (that is now well dispersed) but in addition to that he built up alot of useful leads/rumours and contacts for parts. There is a particular part that he is supposed to have found via an atc unit in Staffordshire but i have been unable to find a unit that has heard of anything (probably too long ago for the current guys). I wondered if anyone on the forum knew mike and perhaps some of the details he had….or perhaps you knew of someone who knew him well? any help would be appreciated…
