Hi all,
i know that this is out of topic and im sorry fr it. I dont want to discuss this on AFM forum because all of them r huligans there. SO what are u all fav. milatary aircrafts and why? Mine are F-14 looks awsome. Su 30, F-16, Saab JAS 39 Gripen, Panvia Tornado, Mig 23,F-117, A-10, B-2 and the F-18.
Worst lookin are F-22, Mirage 5(looks like a flying needle), F-111, SU-24, A-7, A-6, BAe Harrier and all chinese aircrafts.

Yeah, the A-10 can fire 7 milkbottle sized DU rounds per second! It has a slower speed that the WW2 Thunderbolt and can sustain loads of damage and still stay in the air…….

You should always respect other opinions. If Kabir says chinese jets are ugly than i have to agree with him in most of the cases (don’t say the J-8 and the A-6 are goodlooking).
I think you missunderstood the whole idea about forum. Some people can learn from it, others can give info.
And how do you mean we in the AFM forum: i never saw you on the AFM forum before. Yes it’s getting boring over there, but that’s because of guys like you. Smartasses who think they are so good, so great etc. This is no offence, sam, but guys like you make others who have good topics on the AFM forum run away (like biffbutkus and Puffadder).
I’m 17 myself, but don’t think you can impress me with your so called “mature” speech.

No, mine is and still is the F15E, best looking aircraft ever, followed by the F-16 (not the F16 B/D looks awful)and F22 (not the YF but the production line F22). The worst looking probably is -sorry- the lightning, the A-10 (but it sure has charisma) and the SU 25. Ofcourse all chinese jets aren’t ugly.

I’d like to stick up for Kabir aswell.There is no point having a go at people on aviation forums,so go out into this big wide world and get yourself a better life!
As for my personal (military)favourites I have to say the Lockheed P38 Lightning,particularly the J and L models.I was fortunate enough to see the Fighter Colection’s example at Duxford before she crashed.She was one graceful creation!
Having said that i like ALL warbirds (yes,even the clipped& cropped unlimited warbird racers!)especially the Lancaster,B17
Blenhiem,Mosquito…ah hell I just can’t decide!
As for jets and other modern stuff,I think the Supermarine Swift
was a very nice looking machine,even if it didn’t always fly terribly well!Then there’s the Sea Vixen…
As for today’s machines,I’d say perhaps the MiG29,but to be honest I’m not all that hot on the modern hardware.Sorry people!
As an incidental question,what do people think looks best-Lancaster or Lancastrian?

Sorry if I have embarrased you Kabir, but this kind of gig is’nt on in this forum….
Oh and also, Bobby B, a Lightning driver once climbed past a U2 at 60,000 feet to the dismay of the U2 guy! An F3 also once overtook Concorde in the late 70’s and the actual aircraft is now in preservation in the North east of England. What a fantastic aircraft!!!!!!!!!
P.S: have you seen the SR-71 at Duxford yet? I went on Sunday, it;s in the Superhangar at the moment. God-damn awesome!!!!!!!

What type of a question is this? How the hell can you call some aircraft beautiful and others ugly? Then you say all Chinese aircraft are ugly? You call the A-6 an ugly aircraft?

Just for your info, I’m in the RAF and work on Harriers, Tornados and Jaguars(all in one place!). The Tornado out performs the Jag in all aspects of the flight envelope. The hotter the weather, the Jag has trouble getting off the ground. I do think the Jag looks better though, although it’s a pain to work on avionics-wise!
