I remember the High Life! Shona McSpurtle was the name of the puresers character and Alan Cummings played one of the stewards before he became more famous.
Matthew – I always refer to camera 2 as ‘dinnercam’ as I use it to observe the progress of my lunch/breakfast/dinner! Camera 3 (tottycam) is the one usually used by sporting cabin crew who give us a flash on night flights!!!

I once flew a BA Scottish internal flight with two male stewards who were so camp they made the boys in The High Life seem like big burly geezers. They somehow managed to turn the inflight safety demo into a kind of Village People inspired dance routine.
I flew on a British Midland flight from Zurich to Heathrow (about 6 years ago, pre bmi days) where the male steward managed to demonstrate how to top up the lifejacket by blowing into the mouthpiece of the microphone during the safety demo… the other male steward in the aisle was in stitches.

Anybody remember “The High Life”, with Alan CummingBased on a fictional Airline Called Air Scotia. Frequently showing a 737-200 flying (stock footage I suspect) and an aircraft interior very much like a 737.
Hilarious fun!

Not seen the show so i dont know. But as you say Matthew im sure its a bit far fetched.

Matthew don’t want to shoot you down about cameras in galley’s as before now it would have been a joke. However since Sept 11th as we all know security has been getting tighter and tighter. To cut a long tale short all our aircraft are now fitted with cameras in the flight deck that can show a number of angles and the forward galley being one of them. The flight deck seem quite happy with the idea and i cant blame them.
