This may be old news, but if not, have I got good news for people looking for the hard to find Putman book “Miles Aircraft Since 1925”. It looks like it’s going to be reprinted.
I found the deatils here:

I wonder are the people paying in excess of £100 for the Don Brown book people who want them to read/use for research or are they collectors/investors who hope to make a profit eventually. If the latter then our “nest-eggs” (I have one in my library too) are safe?

I was very pleased to see the present interest in my forthcoming book – ‘The History of Miles Aircraft’ – which was originally to have been published by Putnams. However, following considerable setbacks in trying to get the book published, I am now pleased to be able to report that Air-Britain (Historians) Ltd have agreed in principle to publish it and a further announcement will be made later this year.
Thank you all for your interest in Miles Aircraft and rest assured that all the ‘errors and omissions’, which were unfortunately present in the late Don Brown’s book, have been corrected and a considerable amount of new and previously unpublished material and photographs is also included in this new history of Miles Aircraft.

Someone obviously didn’t read this post and paid £105.99 for the Putnams book, E-Bay, #8369247506.

On which subject, did “Aircraft for Fun” ever get released in the Putnams History of Aircraft series?

I trust that the reprint will have the inaccuacies present in the original (which were the reason behind the lack of reprints) corrected?
I wait with baited chequebook 🙂
