Well done Modfly, didn’t have any success with the Hoffman search like you did, but did find this interesting article on Elly Beinhorn a famous German aviatrix in her time who was still alive in 2003. Great word, aviatrix, do we have any left? :p

About miss Hoffman:
She was aviator that hase a privat plane. She used it to fly in Dubrovnik, Croatia in 1935 on 35. F.A.I. meeting. On that meeting one of the participient was romanien duke Bibescu with his Potez 56 (0), than plane from factory of “Bata” etc.
The article is dated september 11. 1935.

I know it is not of great help, but….

No Falcon Majors or Falcon Six’s were used by airlines to the best of my knoweldge.

Question: Does anyone know how I can contact John P. Gunner, or any surviving relatives or friends, of this one time owner of at least two Miles aircraft in the 1950’s? John used to fly from Denham and wrote a very interesting story of a trip around Europe (in the Airways Aero Association’s magazine) in his Hawk Major, but I have only got the second part and would like to know how it started!

Hoffman’s hardly a rare German sirname. Suggest you a) start another thread with the Q, and b) in it, tell us all you know (what’s in the article, for instance, what or where or why she flew) and you are more likely to get a response.

Don Brown’s Putnam book lists 16 M.3B to M.3E Falcon six (pages 86/7) but this (or the preceeding descriptive pages) do not mention use by any airlines.
