Hello everyone !
I was a bit embarrashed when I found out that a Finnish air force 95 years old squadron commander did not get military funerals and not even a bucket of flowers from the armed forces as he was put to rest.
Colonel Tauno Kangas was known for driving only english automobiles. Those he did drive to the age of 95 btw. Does the RAF still remember their fallen soldiers after they are gone ?
R.I.P. colonel Kangas !
PS: He was married to my aunt Anna. Tauno’s heroic deeds were recently written down in my father’s book SOTALENTÄJÄT ( Warpilots ). He lost a co-pilot in action.
