Mini meet at LHR 20/8/2004

A good day over all – we had the sun for a while, and then the cloud, but all wasnt totally lost as the cloud did make for a few nice pics. The barage of BA and Bmi today though got very boring – i know its both BA and Bmi’s major hub, but that was all that was coming in mostly. I was happy to see the MEA flight – which must have been running late, as it didint come in until the early afternoon.

We also saw two Olympic aircraft today – the Plain white Jat 737 had the smallest sticker on the front, while a Malev 737 carried a pair of golden wings on the rear of the fuselage.

TAP was a busy airline at the airport to today – with 2 A310 flights and 1 320 flight.

Best aircraft of the day there for me was the Aeroflot 777 in my opinion – though an aircraft in the new livery would have been appreciated more. :p – I’ll see one, one day!

Anyhow – Michael thanks for the few hours out – was greatly needed after a few hard weeks at work.

Heres some pics from today:

Also:

With regards to the aeroflot flights into LHR – is there a bigger passenger demand now? They have, as youve seen, added the 777 back to the route, but before that on Friday, there was an A310 floating about with-in the airport too.

Great shots, hey at least you got Etihad which is still a damn rare airline – as for Aeroflot, you’ll just have console yourself with these, which I got earlier this year πŸ˜‰ Ain’t life cruel…

Or mine from Berlin last week…

I love the background to the IB one, Andy. And tonyosborne, I love those photos and that silver Aeroflop livery is stunning.

Excellent photographs, Andy.

Nice to see you managed to get the MalΓ©v 737 in focus… I didn’t, and I even cut the nose and tail off! πŸ™

Some lovely shots Andy – the ones with blue skies and clouds are lovely. Adds interets to the shots.

Haven’t “done” any airliners for a while now. May try a trip soon.

Very nice work there lads, it’s almost a year now since I spent an afternoon in yer company doing the very same at LHR.

For your next challenge I instruct thee to only take pictures of planes represented with in thy model collection !

Doh, I see you’ve just about done that already. πŸ˜€ :p πŸ˜‰
