Not much aviation wise at the festival this year. The Whirlwind has lost a few feet in the middle. A view from high up spotted some plane shaped bits in the undergrowth beyond a picket fence and cider helped me explore later on. Looked to be a slipper tank or two stacked up. I think it was converted to a car for a long previous festival, having recognised the logo. Security prevented further investigation.

Yes….I too was a bit disappointed with the aviation related stuff there this year..last year I spotted an early Spitfire style Seat on one of those big Mad Mad style vehicles driving around…no…they wouldn’t part with It!. Would look to have around their construction yard in Bristol..they apparently sourced a lot of stuff from the old Flowers Scrap yard before it was closed down.
